The drive and PA
About the drive from Nashville, TN to Whitehall, PA:
Departure time - 8:30pm CST
Arrival time - 9:30am EST
So the drive overnight took 12 hours. 800 miles in pitch darkness was not so fun. And I got the 2nd leg of it so I was really tired while I was driving. I didn't sleep much while my mom was driving just in case something happened snce she still wasn't quite at 100% (and still isnt really). Despite a group of deer soon after getting out of Nashville, there were no problems. Gas stations were open, prices were decent, and of course there was hardly any traffic (wouldn't expect it XMas eve into XMas day anyway). Still not really looking forward to driving back on New Years Eve and then spending one day in Nashville and then driving another 7-8 hours back to NC.
PA so far: I've pretty much just been sitting around at my grandparents house since we got here on XMas. I called one of my friends and will be visiting his family tomorrow (Thursday) and attempted to call my high school friends but couldn't get through so we'll just catch up online or the next time I'm in PA (who the hell knows when that will be. . .probably not before summer).
I'm still waiting to get my new digital camera (I've been lazy and haven't deposited the money I got on XMas into my bank account). Making this update by mooching off of someone's wireless connection near my grandparents house (ah the goodness of taking peoples bandwidth because they don't encrypt their AP).
Some good news I found out yesterday. . .Father of the Pride is back on the air. For how long I have no clue, but last week and this week brought 4 new episodes so I'm doing my best to download all of them off of my limited internet access time.
Guess thats about it. Next update will come after I'm back in NC and ready to get started playing Second Life, watching movies and writing on message boards for my January term class, Imagining Technology.
